About the presenters: Cassie Velasquez, M.Ed. has over 25 years of educational experience with a focus in Special Education. She is a Certified Mediator and was the lead IEP Facilitator for the Scottsdale Unified School District.  Cassie has taught various courses in Special Education at Grand Canyon University.  She is recognized nationally for her expertise in IEP Facilitation.

Robin O’Shea, M.A.T., has over 20 years of experience in Special Education.  She has worked as a Special Education and Behavior Specialist, Curriculum Specialist and Administrator.  Robin has taught classes at Grand Canyon University on Special Education Law, Ethics, Behavior Management, IEP Compliancy and Implementation.  As an IEP Facilitator and Certified Mediator, Robin brings real life experiences and scenarios to her trainings.

This training is designed for participants who have completed the initial Facilitated IEP workshop AND have implemented the Key2ed facilitation model in their IEP meetings.  Participants will review and develop a deeper understanding of the tools and techniques from the training and improve their facilitation skills for difficult meetings through small group activities and high conflict role-plays.
