This is Day One of VC SELPA's Behavior Intervention Training. The focus of this workshop is to "provide an environment in all instructional areas that promote appropriate behavior from our students and supports their attempts to reach that goal." (Mesaros) The philosophy is to teach the student to be in control of his/her behavior, rather than through intimidation.
