Orton-Gillingham Based Multisensory Language Instruction) Sonday System 1 training is an introduction to Multisensory Teaching Methodology, a detailed look at thefundamentals of Orton-Gillingham-based instruction, and the implementation of the Sonday System Reading Intervention Program. The training offers hands-on use of Sonday System materials and practical strategies to use with struggling students. Focus is on Sonday System® 1 Instructional Materials, Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension instruction.
The Sonday System® - Reading Intervention Solutions for PreK - 12 is a suite of Orton Gillingham-based,multi-sensory language instruction products. The Sonday System® is direct instruction for strugglingreaders in Tier 2 (“strategic”), especially Tier 3 (“intensive”), Dyslexic, ESL/ELL, and students with LearningDisabilities. The Sonday System has distinguished itself for: • Ease of implementation, even for instructors with little or no background in literacy • Effectiveness with students who have not responded to other programs • Success at all ages for students who are significantly behind in reading, writing and spelling.
